Promarine Collagen Tripeptides Set (1-month course) & HydroBoost biocellulose face masks (5 sachets)

The Coral Club set combines two separate products: a one-month course of Promarine Collagen Tripeptides and five Hydro Boost biocellulose face masks. One is a dietary supplement taken by mouth; the other is a cosmetic applied to the face.

Promarine Collagen Tripeptides

Promarine Collagen Tripeptides is a liquid hydrolyzed fish collagen drink manufactured in Taiwan. The course contains 30 vials, and the label directs one vial per day in the morning for 30 days. Each vial provides 15 g of hydrolyzed fish collagen liquid including 3.5 g of Maxicollagen, with 1.5 g of hibiscus flower extract, 700 mg of white currant extract, 100 mg of vitamin C, 72 mg of hyaluronic acid, vitamins B6 and B2, spinach and 50 mcg of biotin.

Coral Club describes it as a form of collagen designed for easier absorption, for smooth, radiant skin and strong hair and nails.* Vitamin C is needed for normal collagen formation.*

Hydro Boost Biocellulose Facial Mask

The Hydro Boost mask is a biocellulose sheet mask soaked in a serum that Coral Club describes as containing sea water, hyaluronic acid in several forms ("3D hyaluronic acid"), seaweed and a metabiotic ingredient. Coral Club states that it deeply moisturizes the skin and helps with dryness, flaking and the first visible signs of aging. The set card does not give the full ingredient list.

Biocellulose is a fine natural fiber produced by bacterial fermentation that clings closely to the face, keeping the serum in contact with the skin.

What the evidence says about oral collagen

Meta-analyses of randomized trials have reported improvements in skin hydration and elasticity with oral hydrolyzed collagen, although the trials vary widely. Coral Club links a document describing a 12-week randomized trial of Promarine Collagen Tripeptides; no such study could be found in PubMed, so its results are not reported here. Before use

• Fish: the collagen drink is made from fish.
• Precautions from the collagen label: individual intolerance to the components, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult a physician before use.
• Blood pressure medicines: hibiscus may lower blood pressure.
• Masks: test on a small area first if your skin is sensitive; do not apply to broken or sunburned skin.

Dietary notes and storage

Coral Club labels the collagen drink lactose free, halal certified, free of soy and suitable for pescatarians. Store it in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight, at no more than 75°F (24°C); shelf life 2 years. Keep the masks sealed until use.
