Hydramax Plus is the extended version of Coral Club's Hydramax program. It combines four products for 30 days of use: Coral-Mine (3 packs, 30 sachets in total), PentoKan (3 packs, 60 effervescent tablets), H-500 (1 pack, 60 capsules) and Oceanmin (1 pack, 30 stick sachets). The products are manufactured in Japan, the USA, Taiwan and Germany.
Coral Club describes the program as designed to support hydration with essential minerals and electrolytes and to support water balance and overall well-being.*
What each product contributes
Coral-Mine — 30 sachets
Minerals from deep-sea coral, made in Japan. A sachet is placed in drinking water. One sachet provides 356 mg of calcium, 15 mg of magnesium and 5 mg of vitamin C.
PentoKan — 60 effervescent tablets
Made in Germany. Each tablet provides 420 mg of potassium (9% DV), 100 mg of vitamin C (111% DV) and 20 mg of D-ribose, and is dissolved in water or juice.
H-500 — 60 capsules
Made in the USA. Each capsule contains a 300 mg proprietary blend of potassium citrate, magnesium citrate, potassium ascorbate, silicon dioxide and sodium borate.
Oceanmin — 30 stick sachets
The component that makes this the "Plus" version. Oceanmin is a 1 g powder made in Taiwan from deep ocean water drawn from about 600 meters in the Pacific, using a patented process (D-MINNERALZ®) that reduces sodium and makes magnesium the main mineral. One stick provides not less than 120 mg of magnesium, 90 mg of sodium, 35 mg of potassium and 0.9 mg of calcium. Coral Club states that it supports electrolyte balance and normal nervous system and muscle function.*
How the program is used
The program lasts 30 days; Coral Club directs reading the instructions inside the package before use. The online card does not publish the combined schedule. The individual products' labels direct placing a Coral-Mine sachet in drinking water, dissolving PentoKan tablets in water or juice, taking H-500 capsules, and dissolving an Oceanmin stick in 0.75–1 liter of water to drink during the day after meals.
A note on potassium and magnesium
Three of the four products supply potassium, and Oceanmin and H-500 both add magnesium. For most healthy adults these amounts fit within normal intake, but for anyone with reduced kidney function — or taking ACE inhibitors, angiotensin receptor blockers or potassium-sparing diuretics — added potassium and magnesium can be a real risk. Speak to a physician before using the set in either case.
Who else should check first
Coral Club lists individual intolerance to the components as a precaution and directs anyone pregnant or breastfeeding to consult a physician before use.
Dietary notes and storage
Coral Club states that the set does not contain soy. Store in a dry place at room temperature, out of reach of children, and do not use if the packaging is damaged. Shelf life is 2 years.
